Faith is having peace in the midst of the storm

Mark 11:22 (AMP)

2 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].   2 Thessalonians 1:3 (AMP)  3 We ought and indeed are obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds.

It is one thing to believe that Jesus is our savior but it’s another thing to have faith and release it.  A lot of people believe in Jesus but don’t exercise their faith nearly as much as they can.  Faith does not only believe in Jesus, it is a way of life.  We are to live by faith.  Sometimes we get a little bit lazy when exercising our faith.  Faith can grow but it only grows as we use it.  The more we use and exercise our faith the more it grows.  The more it grows it seems the more we have to use it.

Faith will not grow without love.  Our understanding of God’s love will make our faith grow.  If you are having trouble with faith, then take a break and study God’s word on His love for your life.  We should be paying just as much attention to love as we do faith.  As our faith grows, our love toward others should grow as well.

We should not be using our faith just to get our own way, it’s to be used to get through things so we remain stable and strong.  Faith is having peace and joy in the midst of our storms because we know who is actually in control of our lives.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
