See life like you want to see it rather than focusing on the bad

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (AMP)
14 For the love of Christ controls
and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died;
15 And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to
and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake.

Jesus died so we can die to things that are not healthy to us by saying “no” to those things.  You are a person of self-control.  The love of Christ controls us.  The more we love God the more we will let God control us.

We have self-control in us.  It’s important to say this out loud whether this is the fact in your life or not.  We need to call things the way we want to see them rather than meditate on the bad in our lives.

If we want a change in our lives we need to change what we are doing.  We cannot keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.  We need to recognize the areas we are weak in and pray ahead of time that we will not come into temptation in that area.  We will be tempted all our lives which is why it is so valuable to spend time with God every morning.  If you don’t get your day started right the rest of it has the potential to go lousy.  At a minimum show God the Honor of a couple of minutes a day to let Him know you need Him to get through the day.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
