Focus on where you are at rather than where you think you should be

Hebrews 4:15 (AMP)
15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand
and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

If you are being tempted in area, Jesus understands that temptation because He also walked in the flesh.  Don’t say you cannot resist temptation, but rather, say I can resist any temptation that comes before me because Jesus is with me.  We need to give everything we struggle with to God as well as everything we are good at.  Quit worrying about all of your weaknesses so much, give them up to God and ask Him to help you and start enjoying life a little more.

We are always going to have weaknesses and get ourselves into a little bit of trouble.  It’s time for us to quit condemning ourselves for our bad decisions, repent, and get over it and be happy.  Do not focus on what you are not, focus on what you are – with Christ.  God understands us more than we know.  Do not pressure yourself to be anything more than a human.  Humans are going to make mistakes.  Real Christians love us for who we are and where we are at in life.  Unfortunately, religion gives us rules to be accepted but thankfully Jesus (and people who truly walk like Jesus) accept us where we are at.

We are not perfect, but God changes us from glory to glory and He changes other people from Glory to Glory so don’t judge others who are not where you are and don’t condemn yourself for not being where Mister super duper Christian is either.  You are exactly where you are supposed to be in life.

1 John 3:1 (AMP)

1 SEE WHAT [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
