To change our behavior we must first change our heart if we want the change to stick

Galatians 3:3 (AMP)
3 Are you so foolish
and so senseless and so silly? Having begun [your new life spiritually] with the [Holy] Spirit, are you now reaching perfection [by dependence] on the flesh?

Change that we want to make has to come from the inside.  We cannot change our behavior and expect it to stick without changing our heart.  We need grace to change our behaviors that we want to change.  The only way we can change is by totally relying on God.  If we have areas we need to change in then we need to pray to God about it and ask God to change us in that area and ask Him for help.  We also can get studies on those areas and study that area in a good bible study.

Do you ever get weary of working on yourself all of the time?  Seems like the harder we try to stop doing something the more we do it.  It used to be if I said something really stupid, I would just stop talking to that person for a day or two.  Or if you eat a lot one day, then the next day hardly eat at all.  That is out of balance thinking.

Galatians 3:5 (AMP)
5 Then does He Who supplies you with His marvelous [Holy] Spirit and works powerfully
and miraculously among you do so on [the grounds of your doing] what the Law demands, or because of your believing in and adhering to and trusting in and relying on the message that you heard?

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
