You can change your present and future by choosing your words wisely

Proverbs 18:21 (AMP)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

No man can tame the tongue.  If you want to use your mouth for a Godly purpose, God will do the work that needs to be done.  Just making a decision to tame our tongue will not make you say the right thing.  We have to work as a partner with God in this area.  Our words can affect the anointing, power and presence of God in our lives.  The presence of God in our life is the most precious thing we have in our life and we must protect it.    One way we do damage to the anointing of God in our lives is having a mixture of how we use our mouth – using it for praise in church and using it to gossip and critical to others.

We have to be consistent in what God says.  When we read a promise of God in His Word, He wants to hear us say that we believe what He says.  All things are possible with God and we need to learn how to come into agreement with God.  Speaking the Word of God out loud with our mouth is a powerful weapon against the Devil.  Not speaking what people tell us or what we think at the time, but speaking the Word of God.

How many messes have you made in your life because you said what you wanted to say instead of keeping your mouth closed or speaking the words you know God would want you to speak in your situation?  You can choose to say what you want to say and make a mess in your life or you can say what God wants you to say and carry the anointing of God on your life.

Our words are so important.  You can kill or hinder the power of God in your life by speaking things that are not in agreement with the Word of God.  You can turn your future around by learning what God has to say and speak those Words over your life.

James 3:2 (AMP) 2 For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature.

My true belief is that the best way to preach is by our actions and not our words. However, we need some daily inspiration to keep us on our path. We as Christians have a responsibility not to judge others by our words but to show the love of Christ by loving them where they are at on their personal journey in life...and if they never turn their life over to Christ, continue to love them for who they are - after all God does.
